Ilaj Ghee - An infusion of fresh roots of turmeric and ginger boosted by the presence of dried pepper-corns - a true remedy with its anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, cleansing and rejuvenating effect. This particular ghee is known in Ayurveda as 'golden ghee', and is equivalent to the 'golden milk', which nonetheless can be consumed by people with lactose and casein intolerance. In addition to its place in healing practices, the usage of Ilaaj ghee can be extended to smearing it on a slice of bread or a rice cake, adding it to a tea or a smoothie, flavouring stews, roasting, sautéing and frying (high smoke point - up to 250°C).
